Wheelie Bin Hoist Description
This double pillar Wheelie Bin Hoist is designed to lift and tip at a discharge height of 2000mm. The Wheelie Bin Hoist is constructed from mild steel and has a painted finish. The lifting is accomplished via chains driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the one column with a crossover shaft to the other column. The Wheelie Bin Hoist is designed to be bolted to the floor.
Bulk Bag Hopper & Containment
Once the wheelie bin is loaded into the Wheelie Bin Hoist, the tipping operation is completely contained so that any dust created is also contained. Within the enclosure, the wheelie bin was tipped through an angle of 130 degrees to discharge into a hopper that feeds down into a bulk bag suspended from hooks on the outside of the hopper. This containment shroud extended over the top of the Wheelie Bin Hoist and was constructed from mild steel with the same epoxy coated finish as the hoist. There was a polycarbonate viewing panel on one side of the containment shroud on the same side as the electrical control panel as well as an extraction outlet.
Safety Guard to PD 5304 Safety of Machinery
The Wheelie Bin Hoist safety guard is constructed from 50 x 25mm mild steel box section and 1.5mm mild steel panels to meet the requirements of PD 5304 Safety of Machinery. It encloses the Wheelie Bin Hoist to a height of 2200mm on two sides, 2000mm at the front with a hinged door on the fourth side. The guard door is electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the Wheelie Bin Hoist from operating with the door open. In addition, the guard door can only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the full down position. The Wheelie Bin Hoist control system has provision for a ‘Call for Product’ signal to be connected.
