Waste Transfer Tipper Description
This Waste Transfer Tipper for 200 Litre tote bins is designed to lift and tip at a discharge height of 1950mm. The Waste Transfer Tipper is constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel and is fully TIG welded throughout. Lifting with the Waste Transfer Tipper is achieved by a ¾” Simplex chain driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the main column. This Waste Transfer Tipper is designed to be bolted to the floor.
Safety Guard to PD 5304 Safety of Machinery
The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 3mm stainless steel sheet to meet the requirements of PD 5304 Safety of Machinery. It encloses the Waste Transfer Tipper to a height of 2200mm on two sides, 1850mm at the front, with a hinged door on the fourth side. The guard door is electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the Waste Transfer Tipper from operating with the door open. In addition, the guard door can only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the full down position. The Waste Transfer Tipper control system has provision for a ‘Call for Product’ signal to be connected.
Waste Transfer Tipper Application Story
This Waste Transfer Tipper was designed to discharge waste from a High Care part of a food factory, through a wall into a Dolaf bin on the Low Care side. To protect the integrity of the High Care environment, the waste chute was fitted with a pneumatically operated hinged lid which only opened when the Waste Transfer Tipper was operated. As soon as the tip cycle was completed, the lid closed automatically thereby maintaining the integrity of the High Care area.
