Mixing Bowl Hoist Description
This mixing bowl hoist is designed to lift and tip a Collette type mixing bowl at a discharge height of 1950mm. The mixing bowl hoist is constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel and is fully TIG welded throughout. Lifting with the mixing bowl hoist is accomplished via chains driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the one column with a crossover shaft to the other column. The mixing bowl hoist is designed to be bolted to the floor. When the mixing bowl is in the full tipped position, the bowl is rotated to allow the dough to peel out and discharge. The mixing bowl is loaded into the mixing bowl hoist from the side and the dough tipped out the front into a depositor hopper.
Safety Guard to PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery
The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 3mm wire, 40mm aperture stainless steel weld mesh to meet the requirements of PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery. It encloses the mixing bowl hoist to a height of 2200mm on two sides, 1600mm at the front with a hinged door on the fourth side. The guard door is electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the mixing bowl hoist from operating with the door open. In addition, the guard door can only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the full down position. The mixing bowl hoist control system has provision for a ‘Call for Product’ signal to be connected.
Mixing Bowl Hoist Application Story
This double pillar mixing bowl hoist was designed to lift and tip a wheeled mixing bowl of dough into a dough divider. The mixing bowl hoist was loaded from the side and when the mixing bowl was fully tipped, the bowl was rotated to allow the dough to ‘peel’ out of the mixing bowl.
