Mezzanine Floor Lift Description
This Mezzanine Floor Lift is a single pillar machine with a Safe Working Load of 500 Kgs and a lift height of 2000mm. The lifting platform is big enough to allow a standard Euro Pallet to be loaded using a hand pallet truck. The Mezzanine Floor Lift is constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel and is designed to be bolted to the floor. Lifting with the Mezzanine Floor Lift is accomplished via a 1” Simplex lifting chain driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the main column.
Safety Guard to PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery
The whole Mezzanine Floor Lift was fitted with a safety guard constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm box section with 25mm aperture x 3mm-wire mesh in-fill to meet the requirements of PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery. This guard will reach to a height of 2200mm on both sides, 2000mm at the unloading position with a hinged door through which the Mezzanine Floor Lift can be loaded and unloaded. The door is electrically interlocked to prevent the Mezzanine Floor Lift being operated with the door open and in addition, the door is mechanically locked closed whilst the Mezzanine Floor Lift is running. The door may only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the full down position.
The main stainless steel control panel is mounted at the bottom of the Mezzanine Floor Lift with a remote push button station at the top. Once a pallet is loaded into the Mezzanine Floor Lift, the operator at the top calls the pallet to the full up position. The push buttons use the hold to run principle and if released the Mezzanine Floor Lift will stop immediately. After the pallet is unloaded, the lift carriage is returned to the full down position by pressing and holding the ‘down’ button. There was an Emergency Stop Push Button at both levels.
