Winkworth Bin Tipper Description
This Winkworth Bin Tipper for 200 Litre tote bins is designed to lift and tip at
a discharge height of 2050mm. The Winkworth Bin Tipper is constructed from Grade
304 stainless steel and is fully TIG welded throughout. Lifting with the Winkworth
Bin Tipper is achieved by a ¾" Simplex chain driven by a motor gearbox mounted at
the top of the main column. This Winkworth Bin Tipper is designed to be bolted to
the floor.
Safety Guard to PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery
The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section,
40 x 40 x 3mm wire stainless steel weld mesh and 2mm stainless steel sheet to meet
the requirements of PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery. It encloses the Winkworth
Bin Tipper to a height of 2200mm on two sides, 1700mm at the front, with a hinged
door on the fourth side. The guard door is electrically and mechanically interlocked
preventing the Winkworth Bin Tipper from operating with the door open. In addition,
the guard door can only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the full down
position.
Winkworth Bin Tipper Electrical Control
This Winkworth Bin Tipper is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which
is mounted on the safety guard. The control panel incorporates the following controls;
Up, Down, Guard Release, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. The Winkworth Bin
Tipper operation is latched via push buttons so that pressing the 'Up' push button
will raise the lift to the full up position. Once the Winkworth Bin Tipper has discharged
the load, pressing the 'Down' push button will return the machine to the full down
position. The control panel has the facility for a 'call to run' signal to be connected
if required. The power supply for the Winkworth Bin Tipper was fed from above into
the main column via a glanded cable entry and from there, through box section to
the main control panel.

Winkworth Bin Tipper Application Story
This Winkworth Bin Tipper machine is used to load biscuits into a Winkworth Grinder
to grind into crumb for the base of cheese cakes and other dessert products. The
Winkworth Bin Tipper was loaded with a 200 Litre Tote Bin and the biscuits were
discharged in a controlled manner into the top of the Winkworth Grinder
