Pneumatic Bin Tipper for 200 Litre Tote Bins
BTP/100/1000/B/G/R
Pneumatic Bin Tipper Description
This pneumatic bin tipper is designed to lift and tip an empty standard 200 Litre
tote bin at a height of 1000mm to allow the bin to be pressure washed. The bin is
tipped through an angle of 100 degrees and the whole pneumatic bin tipper can be
rotated through 180 degrees to allow the interior and exterior to be washed. The
pneumatic bin tipper is constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel and is a fully
TIG welded construction throughout. The bin is lifted and tipped via a pair of pneumatic
cylinders. The pneumatic bin tipper will operate on a 'dead mans handle' principle
and is mobile with a pivot location plate bolted to the floor.
Safety Guard to PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery
The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and
3mm wire, 40mm aperture stainless steel weld mesh to meet the requirements of PD
5304:2005 Safety of Machinery. It would enclose the pneumatic bin tipper to a height
of 1100mm with a hinged door through which the bin is loaded. The guard door is
interlocked preventing the pneumatic bin tipper from operating with the door open.
In addition, the guard door can only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the
full down position.

Pneumatic Bin Tipper Application Story
The pneumatic bin tipper was designed to lift and tip an empty tote bin using pneumatic
cylinders to allow the tote bin to be washed out at an ergonomically acceptable
position. The tote bin was tipped through 100 degrees and both the inside and outside
of the bin could be washed with a high pressure hose. Any water used could easily
drain off and there was no risk of injury to the operator through handling the bin
to tip water out etc. The bin was loaded on the ‘dirty’ side and after cleaning,
the whole pneumatic bin tipper could be rotated through 180 degrees and the clean
bin was unloaded on the ‘clean’ side.
