Mixing Vessel Bin Lift for 200 Litre Chuted Tote Bins
BTM/250/2025/M/G/RAIL
Mixing Vessel Bin Lift Description
This Mixing Vessel Bin Lift for 200 Litre tote bins is designed to lift and tip
at a discharge height of 2025mm into a Mixing Vessel. The Mixing Vessel Bin Lift
is constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel and is fully TIG welded throughout.
Lifting with the Mixing Vessel Bin Lift is achieved by a ¾" Simplex chain driven
by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the main column. This Mixing Vessel Bin
Lift is designed to be mobile on castors so that it can be moved to tip into either
of two vessels mounted on one side of a stainless steel platform.
Safety Guard to PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery
The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 40 x 40 x 3mm wire stainless steel weld mesh to meet the requirements of PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery. It encloses the Mixing Vessel Bin Lift to a height of 2200mm on three sides, with a hinged door on the fourth side. The guard door is electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the Mixing Vessel Bin Lift from operating with the door open. In addition, the guard door can only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the full down position.
Guide Rail
The Mixing Vessel Bin Lift was located on a guide rail fixed to the platform at a height of 800mm to keep it off the floor and allow easy access for cleaning. The Guide rail was fitted with a pair of FerroGuard Magnets positioned such that they would be operated when the Mixing Vessel Bin Lift was correctly positioned at its appropriate tipping point. The Mixing Vessel Bin Lift was manually pushed along the rail to the end stop before a bin is loaded and tipped.
Mixing Vessel Bin Lift Electrical Control
This Mixing Vessel Bin Lift is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the safety guard. The control panel incorporates the following controls; Up, Down, Guard Release, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. The Mixing Vessel Bin Lift operation is latched via push buttons so that pressing the 'Up' push button will raise the lift to the full up position. Once the Mixing Vessel Bin Lift has discharged the load, pressing the 'Down' push button will return the machine to the full down position. The control panel has the facility for a 'call to run' signal to be connected if required. The power supply for the Mixing Vessel Bin Lift was fed from above into the main column via a glanded cable entry and from there, through box section to the main control panel.

Mixing Vessel Bin Lift Application Story
This Mixing Vessel Bin Lift machine is used to load dry and wet ingredients into a Mixer during the manufacture of cheese cakes and other dessert products. The Mixing Vessel Bin Lift was loaded with a 200 Litre Chuted Tote Bin and the ingredients were discharged in a controlled manner into the top of the Mixer.
