Double Pillar Waste Recycling Tipper Description
This double pillar Waste Recycling Tipper is designed to lift and tip at a discharge height of 4225mm. The double pillar Waste Recycling Tipper is constructed from mild steel and has a painted finish RAL9006. The lifting is accomplished via chains driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the one column with a crossover shaft to the other column. The double pillar Waste Recycling Tipper is designed to be bolted to the floor and was also securely bolted to the feed chute. The feed chute directs the recycled lead into the mouth of the furnace for smelting and re-use.
Safety Guard to PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery
The safety guard is constructed from 50 x 50 x 3mm mild steel box section and 40mm aperture x 3mm-wire mesh in-fill to meet the requirements of PD 5304:2005 Safety of Machinery. It encloses the double pillar Waste Recycling Tipper to a height of 5200mm on three sides, 4100mm at the front with a hinged door through which the Lead Bins are loaded. The guard door is electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the double pillar Waste Recycling Tipper from operating with the door open. In addition, the guard door can only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the full down position.
There was an electrical control panel mounted on the double pillar Waste Recycling Tipper that provided all of the necessary controls. This included the use of a small Siemens Logo PLC within the control system to provide complete flexibility in the final control configuration. After loading a Lead Bin into the double pillar Waste Recycling Tipper, it will then be necessary to close the safety guard gate. The double pillar Waste Recycling Tipper can then be operated using the ‘Start’ push button mounted on the control panel. The tipping cycle was automatic and after reaching full tip, the empty bin was lowered back to the floor.
